The beauty in nature always finds a way of making itself known. I love taking notice of the unique beauty around me. It is in these moments I feel at peace, time slows down and I feel like I’m living my life with my eyes wide open. I sense God meet me in these moments and I feel an overwhelming surge of joy and thankfulness. This is where I worship. This is how I praise him: by stoping and taking notice.
In these tulip fields the colors were surreal. I kept telling Trevor that the colors looked too vibrant to be real. It was like the colors were glowing! Imagine a whole field of flowers glowing! It was breathtaking.
I was born in Everett, WA and grew up there until age 5. There are pictures of me as a kid as young as two going with my parents to the tulip field. I’m not sure anymore if its a real memory in my mind or if the pictures are what I’m remembering. Now that I have returned to the state of WA traveling to the tulip field was at the top of my list!
It did not disappoint! I had a lot of fun taking in the scene and photographing the glowing colors. The backdrop behind the tulips was mountains! I loved the texture and layers of mountains, trees, grasses and tulips. I want to make it a tradition to take in this site every spring. It had a small town feel which reminded me of home. It was such a life-giving day to take in this vibrant beauty that was declaring its presence :)
My new favorite picture of him! As you can tell we had a fun time together :)
